Speeding driver sought by police
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a speeding motorist caused damage to cars on a major Furness road.
The driver of the unknown vehicle was travelling towards Ulverston on the A590 Dalton-in-Furness bypass at about 5.40pm on Tuesday when the car they were driving crossed the white line, causing one vehicle to swerve to avoid a collision, before knocking a wing mirror off an oncoming red Vauxhall Corsa.
The debris from the Corsa then hit a silver Ford car, causing damage.
Police would like anyone with information which could help officers track down the driver and the vehicle to contact them on 0845 330 0247.
