Barrow will be promoted across the north
BARROW Borough Council is promoting Barrow and its attractions to Cumbria, Yorkshire and North Lancashire in partnership with AHA Marketing and Media.
In addition to distributing the Barrow in Furness tourism brochure,AHA have designed an advertising graphic for their distribution van.
The van will be constantly visiting over 1,500 outlets across Cumbria, Lancashire and North Yorkshire including villages and towns such as Bowness, Windermere, Keswick, Kendal, Blackpool, Carlisle, Penrith and the west Cumbria Coast.
Ann Taylforth, Barrow Town Centre Manager who co-ordinates the marketing initiative, said: "The Council is promoting the attractions and shops of Barrow Borough to residents of the County and visitors and this marketing initiative will reinforce that campaign."
Rudy Rengers, of AHA Media and Marketing, commented: "We are delighted and surprised that the driver has actually been approached by members of the public asking for information about Barrow as a result of the graphic on the van back."
