Run/Walk - Barbondale event next month
THE Barbondale round - a walk/run over two distances of 24 miles and 14.5 miles - takes place on Saturday, April 19.
Both events start and finish from Barbon village hall. The longer route takes in Crag hill (682m), Great Coum, which is slightly higher and Calf Top situated on Middleton Fell (609m).
The 14.5 mile route takes in the first two summits and at nine miles moves to the valley road through Barbondale and back.
