Mike and Milly Bomb along
Michael Stevens hit another major score and Danny Milligan claimed five more wickets as Lancaster hammered cross-Bay rivals Barrow at Lune Road on Saturday.
The deadly duo were the stars of the show on a rare day when rain didn't intervene in a game between the Bombers and Barrow.
Lancaster skipper David Heywood won the toss and chose to bat first on a fine and warm afternoon - but the innings got off to the worst possible start when Pakistani professional Taufeeq Umar was given out for a dodgy lbw for a duck when it was clear to most people in the ground that he got a big inside edge.
Ryan Nelson could only manage 16 but Stevens showed he has a mature head on his youthful shoulders as he batted with great responsibility to carry his bat for 85.
While Stevens dead-batted it out, Tim Barry hit nine, Jamie Heywood made 22 and Michael Walling scored 20.
Brendan Hetherington then plundered a quick fire 36 to earn the praise of Barrow pro Pasan Wanasinghe and Lancaster had posted a more than respectable 214-6 from their 50 overs.
That was always going to be a tall order for Barrow to chase and when the dangerous Ian Allington got a tight lbw early on their task became tougher.
Wanasinghe was also the victim of a dubious decision but once Milligan got going there could only be one result as he reeled in 5-46 and Barrow were knocked over for just 105.
