Walk for motor neurone disease

WALKERS can raise money for a good cause while enjoying a pleasant stroll in Furness.

The walk, Quakers, Monks and Lighthouse', on Saturday, April 26, is in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, the charity for the progressive degenerative disease, and last year it raised £1,500.

It all starts at Aldingham Village Hall and there is a a choice of distances ranging from 5 to 25 miles - longer walks begin at 8.30am while shorter ones begin an hour later. Refreshments will be provided before, during and after the walks.

For further information and a sponsorship form contact Bob Mitchell on 01229 869377, or write to Mr Mitchell at Hillcroft, Scales, Ulverston, LA12 0PB.
