DANNY Welbourne hit 70 as Lancaster seconds claimed the bragging rights over Carnforth at Lune Road.
Welbourne's knock eased the nerves as Lancaster thundered past Carnforth's 116 all out inside 18 overs as they had to rattle on in order to beat the rain.
In the end, they won by four wickets. Earlier Ben Thorne had claimed 5-54.
It was also a good day for Morecambe seconds as they hammered Leyland at the Stanning Memorial Ground.
They bowled the home side out for 126 before Andy Armstrong hit an unbeaten 69 to see the locals home with seven wickets to spare.
