Cricket - Ikram leads Kendal to second win

KENDAL made it two wins out of two matches so far in the Northern League with a five-wicket win over Lancaster at Shap Road.

Skipper Ikram Ullah led the run-scoring for Kendal with 73.

Scores: Lancaster 181-8 (Tim Barry 89, Michael Walling 36, Ryan Nelson 30;Ross McMillan 3-42, Ben Simm 2-45), Kendal 185-5, 49 overs (Ikram Ullah 73, Ross McMillan 35, Terry Hunte 27, Donovan Du Plessis 24).

Netherfield were dismissed for 87 in 37 overs at Chorley, but made the hosts work hard for a win, taking nine wickets before they knocked off the runs in 55.3 overs.
